Peter Muoio, Ph.D., is the Founder and Senior Principal of Maximus Advisors. Immediately prior to forming Maximus Advisors, Dr. Muoio was a Managing Director and Global Head of Deutsche Bank’s Real Estate Research Group with teams in New York, London, Frankfurt and Sydney.  Prior to that, he formed and led the Real Estate Research Group at Bankers Trust Company.  Dr. Muoio has also served as an instructor at Hofstra University where he taught Industrial Organization and worked as a Research Associate at the WEFA Group, an economic consulting firm.

Dr. Muoio is on the Duke University Graduate School Board of Visitors. He is a member of the Real Estate Roundtable Research Committee and the CREFC Research Committee. Dr. Muoio speaks regularly at company-specific and industry conferences and is a regular guest lecturer at the NYU Real Estate Institute, focusing on regional and market analysis and real estate finance. He received his Ph.D. from Duke University, where he was the recipient of the James B. Duke fellowship.  He received a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded the Bernard Shanbaum Award for Excellence in Economics.
